nothing is ever going to be easy...the best thing to do is use the original slides and mod them so they can bolt up to the seats...

just fitted some, work well as long as you arn't too tall, if you are you wont fit in a datto anyway

i took the stock 1200 rail and put it on the bottom of the seat, marked the holes and drilled through the base of the seat (there is a decent piece of angle iron the whole length of the seat)

i set it up for a coupe, i had the front holes of the stock seat rail about 50mm forward of the front hole already in the autotechnica seats, also the holes have to be drilled around 8-10mm further out on the seat as the 1200 rails are slightly wider.

once the holes were there it was a case of trying to get the lock nuts on to some high tensile bolts (a bit fiddly depending on seat)

have set up a couple of different autotechnicas like this, i think they are basically all the same

the newer models of autotechnica are deffinately lower than the old models
plus they are making a couple of sets that are significantly smaller than the old styles so they suit a lot better, check their website to figure out which

i bought the 24 series ones and really like them

oh also i had to pack in a few washers between seat rail and seat to allow the release mechanism for the stock seat rail to still operate

ive got an A999 i think it is, fixed back fibreglass one in my car. it has side mount rails

i just redrilled the back holes in the autotechnica rail so they matched the 1200 rails. then has to redo the mounts on the 1200 rails so that they were 5-10mm further apart than stock so that they would bolt straight on

the seat is definately not very high, ive got over 6 inchs of room above my head

i made up supports for mine out of 5mm plate by 5 cm. gave me plenty of room to bolt the seat too.. all though it is highly illegal
