My old diff has died, and i'm being told that there arent any parts to fix it available, anyone have any parts / spares / anything?
need it bad, not going to let this sink this project...

well ... I have to find one first. The mechanic is being lame i think the lash needs adjustment. But they just want to replace it.
Still need service parts for a junkyard diff...
So are parts / bearings, etc available anywhere? I'll buy any parts anyone got....

Who said the parts are no longer available? When I looked this summer, all the H145 parts were available except the crush washer.
You are better off (less expensive, faster and cheaper) in just getting a whole pumpkin center and swapping it in. Most of them are still good, quiet, no problems. Mine is still good at 37 years old, never been rebuilt.

my mechanic is being lame, i doubt that there are no parts available. doing these things isnt what they do.
( which is funny considering they find restoration parts for their own projects... )

leosnake_2000 hooked me up, so tomorrow i take it to have it put in. then i can start on the other issues like getting 4 matching tires and such.

GRRR... this is still going on...
got the diff ... put it in ... it makes terrible noise, both diffs have too much wear, so they always make a ton of noise....
anyone got gearsets, spider gears anything????

Don't even mess with it. Just swap in another good used pumpkin. Why people bother rebuilding these I'll never know. It's cheaper to swap, and less risky.
