Hey, I've been looking at a C200 LSD for fairly cheap. It looks just like a Borg Warner type 78, but apparently they are different. I did a wee bit of googling, and they (The net) reckon they run a clutch pack LSD and 29 spline axles. It might be worth getting, but waht doe you guys know about them? it wouldn't be too hard to shorten one, and redrill the wheel stud pattern.

Oh, the C200 diff that is fitted to some Nissan D22 (Navara, Frontier) and D40 (Frontier) pickups.
It is a salisbury type, remove the gears from the axle housing, as it doesn't have a removable center.
This is a large diff, 200mm ring gear is 7.87".
D22 also came with H190 or H233 (in addtion to C200).

LSD is about $1300 new at Nissan. You could cut the housing down for size, but what about the axles? Can they be shortened?

Navara diff. D21 as well as D22. Look quite heavy to me. But not as heavy as the terrano diffs. I don't like the idea of not beaing able to easily change the diff head much.

Thanks guys. I can get one for $200. If they are clutch type lsd, I might buy it. The ratio is pretty good too. The difficulty of pulling the center isn't a turnoff, but if it's going to be a orphan, that would be.

the C200 diff is the live axle version of the R200. therefore, R200 LSD's can bolt into a C200 housing.
hope that helps people :)
