yeah I know. If a nice 6 pot turns up maybe. but we will see what is on the floor next week. Linds wont be driving any time soon, and the loan is not yet approved, (but it will be, just waiting for papers), so there is no rush.
Went and saw a laywer today about it. Certainly worth it as they do everyting include dealing with the insurance commision.

I reckon go back to a 2.2 camry wagon on LPG itll be more reliable than any HOL/Ford/Kia etc
At worst high roof Ford Transit with LPG (no computer) SR20det/rb20det conversion and auto, sit up high, go camping and everything heavy duty once you rid the engine. Look awesome with custom wheels/tyres.

I have suggested that we look at a camery wagon, and she wants to upgrade. Loan came through today, so its car shopping for real now.

why eeww? camerys are good safe reliable and economical cars- just boring as hell to drive.
shame they didnt make the last 2 series into wagons here, would have been a bit more exciting and good cars too. shame no honda accord euro wagons in aus. they are a nice wagon.
stay with commodore. perth prices are always higher than east coast.
vy series 1, lpg with 90000kms sold on weekend private sale for $15800. mate was looking but they sold it before he rocked up. so the extra $$ in perth... just cause its a captive market almost.
at least they are cheap to fix if you can live with leaky rear main seals- but then again same issues with datsuns and heaps of other cars.

Transits engines are shocking, yet I know of a high roof version with a turbo falcon six conversion on LPG, dumped with a body kit and serious rubber that beats many more sophisticated machinery and you can walk to the back and sit on a couch. It cost him 15k all up with a 800 dollar roller. Ill try and get a pick when I see him again at the workshop he frequents.
Toyotas are ugly and boring but for safe and to b why would you want an unreliable Holden or other lame taxi. It will depreciate instantly.
yet Id rather be in an accident in a big transit than a station wagon. The things are big and apart from the engine heavy duty.

D, dont get me started on the big car is safer idea....
as for camrys, Ill agree, they are boring as batpoo to drive, but realible and economical as hell. The old one really was a fantastic car, just a bit slow is all (4 pot with auto). The V6 versions went well though.
As for a Ford Transit van, unless it still has its aussie post decals on the side, with mails bags inside, its a no go.:)
