The 1400 is a good engine.
The larger engines have more horsepower.

Your choice. I've got an A14 in mine it has plenty of power I reckon.

depends on how much money you have... if you want a relativly "cheap" upgrade id stick with the a14 and search ebay for a small turbo setup.

im about halfway through an SR conversion and ive put about 5 grand into it, but that is with buying custom coilovers from datsport and all kinds of adjustable front end gear from maddat and a bunch of tools, i still have to buy a welder and then i still have to organise a diff, tailshaft, fuel cell and delivery system and a sparky to do my electricals.... there is another 5 grand in all that gear... then later comes the 4 link and coil over rear end...

Put twin carbs on the A14, and a 2" exhaust. Mine has dual Mikunis.

i had A15, twin SU's, extractors and exhaust and it just wasnt enough for me, thats why im doin the SR conversion.

depends on what kind of power you want and feel comfortable with and what you want to do with the ute. in 2 years i will be taking mine down the strip chasing 12's on street tyres.

Talk to racetech. He is based in CPT area.
Personal Message him on this site.
He has a A14 doing gymkhana racing. Currently his engine is producing 80Kw with a couple of affordable mods.
