The A15 head is very different from the A14 head. The valve size may be the same but the heads are just
different, smog crap difference.

Mareo, the difference in the A14 and A15 head is it a good, bad or just different head. I'd like some idea before I go spending money on the head on my A15. Should I try and source
an A14 head. I do have a spare oval port head that came on a bored out 1200 motor I have. How do I tell which head this is and if its any good.
Thanks
Gavin

The A15 head is the least desireable of all heads. They are all smog pump heads
here in America.

Hi to all, I will be taking off tomorrow for three weeks. I am going to got to Austin Texas for a needed all expenses paid vacation. I need that. I am not sure if I will be around
a computer on this trip so if I don't post any messages for the next three weeks, you won't have to worry about me. LOL Drive like hell and keep it between the ditched and off the
roof.

The major problem I have seen with the A-15 head is the intake ports. If you look down them you will see what I mean, half of the port is closed off above the valve. I guess this is
for swirl or something. I would bet that it could be opened up with a lot of port work but starting with an A-14 would be better in my opinion. Of course this is the US A-15 I'm
talking about, other markets might have gotten a better head. Look down the intake ports before spending money is my advice.

If you actually mean the air pump that puts fresh air into the exhaust port then no we don't have that but I expect the overall casting would be the same.
I also have a MG Midget that I got out of California that had the air pump but all we do with them is block the holes and it is a desirible head as the casting is
thicker for more porting.
Do you think the Aussie non smog head is OK.

In OZ the A15 heads are the best out of all the A-series heads. They've got bigger ports and valves than
the GX heads
