After purchasing a whiteboard everything became so clear...... kind of.

Decided to wait for ALL fabricating to be done before i painted the underbody and being i didn't what to go crazy stitch welding everything just yet i decided to put the motor and gearbox in.

A few little differences using the 6 speed instead of the 5. Gearbox cross member has to be remade with some tweaks to allow for 1. higher casing along centre of tunnel, 2, further rearward mount position and 3, selector top section just fits through new hole in tunnel mod section. What to make sure if the gearbox tramps around it wont hit the tunnel in any way. Good two finger clearance all the way around the bell housing too

last pic shows difference with gbox mounts

Started making uo the new cross member had it all tacked and ready for the final decision.... rang a mate for the go ahead and we came up with a few more slimline ideas so ill make the new one up this week.

On the lookout for ally radiator, and if Tilton ever answer a friken email ill get the pedal box under way!

I dont know what offset the wheels are sorry ? Only know their 8s rear and 7s front.

Few updates, continued the mods, put new hole in firewall for engine loom and started to see if i can reverse mount ( hide) wiper washer behind firewall.

Finished new gearbox mount just trying now to work out now what holes to seal up and what holes ill need to accommodate in the firewall .
So far its,

engine loom
clutch master
gauge lines?
body loom (already there)
heater lines- probably run on thermostat side of motor into cabin

Going to run tilton overhang set up so wont need brake master and if wiper swap works can seal up washer line holes.

Was a bit worried i was making the right decision not running a brake booster unttil it dawned on me today the the car never had one!
But then again it didnt have brakes like it does now...

It's coming along beautifully mate.

You should be fine without a booster. I run my car with bigger brakes and no booster and love the pedal feel.

Fine work reminds me of the 13b 120y granny one in Fast fours and rotaries years ago
sold for I think around 12-13k absolute bargain it even had venetians and hate to be
blown away by something like that :)
I missed the bit where the engine bay went from metal to undercoated to metal again?
Longchamps are mad.

Awesome work. Please share your findings regarding the relocation of the wiper motor. I must say, this is one thing I have not thought about, but know that you have placed the thought in my mind I will start the investigation.
