I am in the process of building my 1200 ute.

I am currently looking at the diffferent options for the interior.

I would like to know if anyone has had experiance with bucket seats in a 1200 ute and how they fit or what to look out for...

Currently i am leaning towards the sparco pro200 seats, although i have even considered puting in some seecond hand, good condition, porsche seats, like the ones in the 911's.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Any bucket seat will work the smaler one's will give you more legroom, the larger one's less

1 it depends on your size
2 It depends on how it is installed
3 It depends on what you like
4 And what you can afford

Keep this in mind when counting the money
Cheap seats can look great if properly instaled, and The very best of seats can look BAD if not instaled properly

I have Honda Prelude seats (not sure which model) but they have lumbar support

Hi DON_1200,

I would recommend Cobra Classics. Although they are super expensive you often find some cheap second hand sets available on mini forums, might have to spend the time trawling the forums but they sell second hand for quite cheap. And the wait WILL be worth it, they are amazingly comfortable.

Mesh head recaros work well as they are nice and thin which goes a long way since the ute cabs are so cramped.

As a suggestion I wouldn't bother buying seat rails to suit. I just modified a set of 120y ones, you could use 1200 ones but the 120y rails come as separate units (which you sorta need when fitting the seats).

i wouldnt reccomend the cobra classics in a ute.
i have had them in a ute before , and if you like a bit of leg room , and dont want to be getting in and out like its a racecar, then use something else.
