I think the cops just don't care. It is obvious that he would have been on the wrong side of the road and if he hadn't flead the scene then i'm sure the cops would have said he was in the wrong. Did you get a police report or did the cops fine you? Maybe they just told you it was your fault to get out of doing the paper work.

Looking at how this was Chris I would say he was definately in the wrong. Might be a different story legally though, and if the cops wont back you up then you might just have to wear it. Sorry to see! Car looks fantastic apart from the damage.

Yeah I think I will most likely have to bite the bullet.

1200rc is on the money there are no lines so going by the road rules the main road (the lateral of the 'T') has the right of way. even if I was 2 metres back he still would have hit me, the bloke cut the corner so hard I couldn't possibly avoid him. I was stationary when he hit me.

I will print the pictures and take them into the cop shop tomorrow and ask that the situation be reviewed. At the very least I will push to have him charged for leaving the scene.

The car is going to get painted by the gentleman who painted and worked Gylezy's ute, so I have made arrangements with him to get this baby rolling again. I have the spare panels but if the rails have been pulled in by the bent beam that runs under the radiator I'm not sure what I'll do.

Word of warning to everyone, get your insurance done now. Ironically I had a quote from Shannon's organised and only late this afternoon they called me with regard to my enquiry.

Here is a picture to give you an idea of exactly how wide the streets are (which make them even more inviting for corner cutters) I was quite a bit far forward but I never breached his street. Situation sucks but I've got the job I've always dreamed of....all these years of living on a student income with two kids and uni-fees to pay finally I've gotten a break. Anyway here's the other pic.

Bahaha! If this happened at home in PNG the situation would be very different.

It's okay, I'll get her fixed up nice again. Cheers for that Ivan, I'm so, so, so stoked about the job (seriously this company really is the cream of the cake, finally I might be able to afford my sons school fees.......comfortably!)

This pic says it all, that's me standing beside the car, witnesses to the left (good blokes too, gave me a hand in pushing it to my mates and said they were keen to help with the courts).

Really sorry to hear about this Chris but at least you are still alive!

You should go to the hospital and get yourself checked out (I believe it is a very bad thing to leave the scene of an accident if someone is injured if you get what I mean ). The courier needs to be taught a lesson!

Surely he was driving recklessly or something?

Without disrespect to South Australians, but in all likelyhood Chris... You are in the wrong. The first mistake you made was approaching a SA road without a bullbar. And as a non local you should still not have asjusted to the driving style of the average South Australian. FFS 12 years ago you could still do a right hand turn from the left hand lane of a roundabout when a right lane driver could go straight! WTF was with that rule??? The first time I drove to SA in 95 I freaked out. Not to mention that the street signs are all 300 meters before the street you need, not at the street and the line markings are a joke... Don't get me wrong. I love South Australia. It's just all the South Australians that wreck it for me But seriously they are crazy over there. Sometimes.
