only need cam angle sensor for sequential injection, otherwise just use elec dizzy

How about using a camira delco unit? youll have electronic dizzie
and the rest is simple. I know of a guy with a copy of the Delco
software that could mod almost any delco Camira setup.

Check this link out, it's a guy locally that built his own ITB's for his GA14 Sentra. He used ITB's off a GPZ 1100 Kawazaki (35mm), it worked out quite well for him...

EDIT: Oops, forgot to post the link...

im only using the fj20 unit cause i have it and i know it bolts dierectly in, and i dont have to worry bout pulling the #OOPS#er apart to lock the vac n mech advance, only mod i have to do is pull the drive gear off and put the a series one on it and change the base plate takes a whole of about 30 mins max. =]
ive managed tp track down a wiring diagram, 4 wires,
1st is earth
2nd is 12v
3rd is 0deg
4th is 180deg
now im a lil confused here.
i'll be using the microtech LT8 ECU
now according to the wiring diagram supplied by microtech the FJ20/CA18 uses a twin coil pack system in (again im assuming) a wasted spark setup
BUT the FJ orig uses only a single coil system
there is also one other diagram where it shows 4 wires that run to the ECU only (doesnt specify what engine) but then im confused as to what will then trigger the coil to collapse the EMF and thus create the spark, and being at both 0deg and 180deg does the computer use this as a reference to control the collapse of the EMF at all 4 intervals?
im doing my apprenticeship as a mechanic at the moment and just done a fair bit on ignition systems but ive never done anything like this before and im tryin to work it out so if anyone knows please shed some light. lol
and what should i use as a base map for the computer? very much doubt they would have anything for this.....

One of the SAfrica boys has this setup which I think is the best looking ever.

Also Leigh built an awesome A14 that was a success.

Hi, i use an FJ20 dissy and seemed to have solved most problems using a WOLF 3D but all EFI's will use a similar setup.

the FJ20 dissy has 2 signal outputs

1. 4 pulses per revolution
2. Reference lots of pulses (360?) per revolution (don’t use)

for my setup i had to drill a small hole in the optic plate to create a 5 pulse next to number 1 pulse (easily done)

This is needed for sequential setup so the EFI knows when it gets to 1

I also need to use a 10k resistor to pull the signal line up (dissy only earths the line and the resistor is needed to lift the signal to 12v)

hope this helps

thank you rally1200
i wasnt sure as to what the distributor used for a trigger (pulse gen, hall effect etc.) as i dont have it on me (floating around in a shipping container at the parents place 500 clicks away...) it uses the optical system then.
your using individual coil packs right? so that would be why you drilled in the extra hole?
as im retaining the single coil i wont be needing to drill that extra hole.
do you have any pics?

Yes it is optical.

I am now running 4 coil packs

But if you are going to run sequential injection you will still need the extra pulse.

Common injection is ok but with bigger cams i had problems with plugs fouling.

what pics would you like?
