tachometer help

ive got an old repco rev counter here that i scored for cheap, only problem is, theres no wires, its got 4 holes for wires, these are marked B, R, G, and W. i just need to know what each one of these is for and where it goes to.
Any ideas anyone??

Red and black will be for the light, Green should be the signal wire to the (-) side of coil? and white could be for connecting to the "flux capacitor", especially for Delorian installation.

My guess is
Red = Battery +ve 12V
Black = earth
Green = Signal wire
White = Lighting system, so when your dash lights come on, the light in the tacho comes on

Most aftermarket tachos use the same colours so I would say:
white will be for dash lights.
Red for 12V +ve ign
black for -ve ground
And green -ve coil

the person with the fatalbert picture is RIGHTON... for sure... i have installed plenty of tachometers... RED= power source "accesory"
...GREEN= negetive side of the coil
...BLACK=ground
...WHITE or YELLOW=interior dash lites
