That's still a fair bit or power for a, what? 1.48 litre, pushrod non-cross-flow.

But even what I wrote is a little optimistic. It depends on the cam specifications as well and the head flow specs. What valve sizes are they?

The big 45's should help with the high RPMs if they aren't choked down too much.

Looking forward to hearing how it goes dude, good work!

1586cc, that makes the bore 81mm with a a14 stroke(77mm). is it a a14 or a15 stroke.

if u get around same as what u had originally i would be happy.then get 13s and a light diff and remove excess stereo devices, and it would be like adding 50hp.

Bob if I had to guess I would say 120 WHP (based on GT-4/5 knowledge) and perhaps 160ish at the flywheel.

As for a street 1200 , 86 HP at the rear wheels is pretty good. Keep in mind a full race A12 is at 100WHP, I can only speak for my car but with the 73WHP I've started into the beyond of what's streetable: the motor will plod around no problem but it really wants to be kept above 4000 RPM's and the gas milage is not that great (14 mpg on track).

Having had 2 stroke hot rod street bikes there is a definite threshold that starts to suck the fun out of a car or bike...........now if we could figure a way to take an A series out to like 1750cc or what ever that would be the way to go for the street, lower revs same power, nice flat torque curve etc.

Tom
