Estyre you'll may come across some discussion abroad that what makes a good circuit car should make for a good drift car so the aim is balanced steering that keeps the dynamic camber in the right zones with the addition of as much steering lock as the body can accomodate.

hi litlefireyone i have changed to rack and pinion steering so in the setup of that i achieved 0.2mm of toe out at full bump i wanted this for circuit racing but i have adjustments in place so i can dial toe in or toe out as required

shortening the steering arm should allow for more lock. Some Japenese companies have modified S13\14\15 knuckles for such an occasion.

there is a more in depth answer to the rack conversion on another thread a while ago but the short answer is custom modified rack from a opel built holden barina, lca pivot points mooved out 25mm per side and custom height adjustable rack mounts(this is how the bump steer is adjusted)and modified crossmember to suit rack mounts

i would be keen to reproduce the rack setup for general sale but the rack is only a small part of the whole package, nearly the whole front suspension from the steering wheel foward has to be played with to get the whole "package" to work in with all the other components , the steering column ,crossmember, firewall,LCA'S , struts, steering arms, etc all have to have some atention to get a harmonious result. read into that a fairly expensive exercise.

Will the std steering box work? Instead of rack and pinion?

Im running s13 lcas castor rods and ball joints ,aswell as sunny tie rods (for the extra thread needed when adding wheel track)
