Was back at the muffler shop yesterday. Installed a new exhaust system. More money spent. My old exhaust was actually out of my old 120y. It didn't fit exactly right and had a few unneeded bends in it. I also modified the lower connection of the exhaust manifolds. I took the two 90 degree bends out of it and made it one 45 degree bend. Should flow better. Still one glasspac for muffler.

Actually its a 120 degree bend and not a 45. No pictures yet. I do everything from phone for interneting. Have to figure out the phone picture thing. Photos are to large for uploading.
No way to use the aftermarket header. Looks like crap after I finally made it fit. Waiting to get my gauges before any dyno.

Came in mail today. Electrical fuel pressure gauge.
Evan, not sure about using single spark box for duel coils. Have to check on that.
Dave, now that figured out pictures. I'll post some photos of exhaust.

Yes the space for the header is tight. I was ashamed to take a picture of the extractor and put it on the site to show what I did to it to make it fit. It does look like crap.

I never got a chance to take it out today and drive it. My girlfriend came home and told me that I have better things to do then be in the garage....like tear out a kitchen. So with sledgehamer and sawzall in hand, I head to the house. Doing a major remodel.
But I was happy to get the gauges installed and work with the carbs on the Lean/Rich Ratio gauge. Funny thing is that the car idles better with the gauges showing in the Rich side. Im going to get it out of the garage tomorrow and see what the ratio is at full throttle under load.
I will take some more photos.

Tearing out old kitchens is very therapitic. Imagine it's your boss's face every time you take a swing.

What sort of fuel ratio guage is it? Is it narrow or wide band? How fast does it respond?

Yep, all engines idle better on the rich side. That's why the manual says set first to "best idle", then lean it down by so many RPM.

* Gasoline engines makes maximum power at up to 12.5
* Best average anti-pollution at 14.7
* Best fuel economy at 16.5, which was not universally understood until during WWII they proved the "lean cruise" AFR that allowed pilots to fly farther... Honda HF runs up to 22:1 lean (stratified charge)
