A bloke here was running 15 x 8's on his sedan on the weekend, They are 0 offset and they fit very well. The car was lowered a fair bit too. I'll try and get him to upload some pictures.

theres no way it would be in the guard without flares. plus they would rub on the footwell.

The footwell issue is the real problem with nice wheels. Before I get a good set I'll be trying to get as much caster as possible, then reshape and flare guards so they are forward more without looking crap.

Also bringing the tops in to increase camber and require slightly less flare.

I think it worked out that a 14x7 +10 would sit out 40mm from stock body with stanza lower arms. So about 25mm with ute arms.

1degree negative camber would move about 5mm.

6.5 wide rim would take another 12mm off.

So if you found a zero offset 14x6.5 and you had small diameter springs with -1 or -1.5 camber tops so the tyre clears the strut then you may get them to fit stock guards.

I got 13x6 and a pair of 13x8 formula 1 rims of carps, they are stamped x8 but measure 7.5 inch lip to inner lip by tape measure. They fit rear of my sedan with 185 60 13 Tyres, only 10mm clearance to that dreaded 2nd inner lip from the rear doors. Not sure offset, could measure back space maybe for you

The footwell is only an issue depending on the tire size, not on the wheel size.

205/70R15 is a lot taller than 185/50R14. The latter will fit under the front guards, the former won't.
