Can anyone suggest a good source of datsun 1200 ute parts in Perth?

I have had a passenger side door handle and a drivers side door lock fail on the same day, and desperately need to get my ute back on the road.

I am having no luck at all with the wreckers, so any help would be hugely appreciated

Give your local Nissan dealer a shot for new ones. It's no guarantee, but the 1200 ute was sold until '85 so you never know.

Mate, I have come to the ute out of a N15 SSS Pulsar, ergo I have much passionate hatred for nissan genuine parts. On the rare occasions they have what you are looking for, you need to either sell your first born/soul or take your own lube to pick up the parts

a LOT of lube

I would rather go buy a second hand pair of doors just for the locks and handles. It would probably work out cheaper too.

Surely there is a good source of aftermarket stuff like this? I can get whole new door panels, but no handles or locks? Srsly?

Yep- eBay have door handles and locks after market but people have reported issues with handles fitting

Fair call, on both cost of some new genuine and for buying a whole door. What about checking out other parted out Datsuns for locks? There's a bloke on Ozdat that's selling sh*tloads of 510 bits at the moment. He is in NSW, but it might be worth giving him a go.
