nick, this thread hasn't been updated for a year now, show us some progress.

I must say, damn, you aren’t afraid to use a grinder. If you don't like it or it is in your way cut it out and replace with something better.

A year! god I feel bad now.
Its quite a different beast now. Your right, the poor thing has seen quite a bit of the grinder. If something doesnt meet my standard, out it comes.
Its changed from a road car to a full on race car now. I have four linked the back and am just doing the roll cage at the moment, will update towards the end of the week

Basically I have always wanted a race car, I was going to buy one after I finished this car but this project got so out of hand and ran over schedule by abour 3 years
Then at the end of last year I had some pretty big changes in circumstances and it didnt get touched for over 6 months and worse yet I had to sell parts off of it to raise money for non fun things, followed by lots of work on other peoples cars to raise more money. BUT eventually got through that and I just thought f**k it, i'll just make this into my race car!
so out came the grinder again!

Great stuff, while your at it with the grinder, cut the nose open to help with motor installation.

What rim is that and do you have a beter pic of it.

They are Aero Wheels, they are only steel wheels, but are pretty light at 6 kgs for a 13x8 which is .5kg lighter than a 13x8 superlight. Biggest thing is they are only $72 USD each, so cheap as chips
I got the ones with 3" backspacing, which means they clear my coil overs without spacers
