You do not need to modify the engine whatsover. A14 will take 10 psi no problems.

Of course if you are after larger HP increase, you can do the same modification as to a non-turbo A14 racing engine.

Look in the wiki- should be stuff written there as its all custom so you have a choice of suck through blow through or efi really. Depends on budget.
Also factor in possible brake, suspension, diff and gearbox upgrades to cope.

Cost would start at bout 1000 and work up from there depending on how much you do yourself, mine cost 1400 and I had the inlet pipe made and turbo manifold but did the rest myself!
Would also say if doing drawthrough setup you will need water/meth for over 7psi

The cheapest way might be to use your existing weber carb on a draw through setup. You can use the inlet manifold you already have. A turbo manifold will have to be made. Oil and water lines, carb to turbo addaptor, throttle cable, dump pipe to match up with existing exhaust. You will also have to make the pipe that goes from the compressor outlet to the standard inlet manifold.

Locking/welding the mechanical advance on the distributor is also required.

That would be about the simplest way to do it, but there is still a fair bit of fabricating to do.

The engine DOES have to be tuned properly if you want it to last more than 5 mins.

If you were to run unleaded, 10Psi would be safe/reliable(if tuned properly) as DD has said. If you were to run E85, you could go a fair bit higher than 10Psi.

If you are clever you could do it as cheap as $300.

$100 junkyard turbo
curved exhaust pipe with welded flange for turbo
Dump pipe back to tail pipe
Rubber fittings and pipe from compressor to carburetor. Make a Top Hat
Regulator & 15 psi fuel pump

Of course, the most important part is to tune it right. Make it rich is the easiest way to avoid lean-outs. Larger primaries and fit a large power valve. Retard the distributor and limit the mechanical advance. It'll have a bit of lag, but make excellent power under boost.

See "Stage 1" in the Turbo article.

What if we fit the cylinder head from Genuine A14 injection?
What is the most compitable ECU to be used? (in case I have lost the original ECU)

That cylinder head is OK.

Sikyne is making 170 rwhp with a regular unmodified H89 cylinder head.
