with KA, front sump oil pan is from 240SX. Rear sump is from D21/D22. 240SX DE engine has oil squirters and crank girdle, so that's what you want anyways.

Thanks for the links! Those intakes on that website look good. If I dont modify or cant modify the one i have, i may just have to buy one.
I have the engine on the stand now. Ill post some photo this evening. The two engines are about the same length and height so it should fit in nicely.

The KA replaced the Z. Same mounts, same transmission bolt-pattern. Just like an L-series engine but with a different lean and a 16-valve DOHC head.

So what I need to do is go from this:

to this:

My plan is to omit the fuel injection and use my Twin Weber 32/34's, the Eaton M62 Supercharger and the 50hp shot of wet Nitrous. There will be some fabrication of parts on this one for sure.
But first the engine needs to be rebuild. Im going to research internal parts to get the most out of this motor. I do believe this should be the final motor in this car. No V6's or V8's.
Stock motor is 155hp. I would like to see 250hp or more when its done.
Anyone have any idea what this setup would do in the 1/4 mile?

Ernie you prob already can see the stock primary or top part of inlet manifold with small box plenum underneath attached to supercharger.

I know you're set on 2 x 32/36 webers but just throwing it out there if you ran a 2 inch SU (50.8mm) bored +1/4 inch (57mm) would look simple and although 2 inches is enough for 200hp in NA, superchargers get away with smaller carburettion so 2" should be good for your target and beyond (280-300hp) according to this article.

what about the U13 ultima / pintara whatever.. did the 24de is these have the oil squirters in it? hmm.. maybe I don't want the D21 engine afterall, but who knows what we got sent in Australia.. I was under the impression if they set the engine up for oil squirters, than wouldn't all models of it have them? I seem to be finding that all models of the DE had the squirters. if anyone has any definitive info otherwise i'd like to know. cheers

Go with the efi..... You will gain power and driveability in spars compared to Carby.

Yes, im going to keep it simple. Im staying with the carbs.
I will look into other carb option though. The only thing about the downdrafts is that i have them jet'd perfectly for my setup. Both are 210's in the primarys and 60's in the secondarys. Plugs run at the right color and the car responds the way i want it to.
In the mean time, its a rebuild so I'll start on that. I want my car for the summer so no swapping it out until winter.
