maddatter1 Posted on: 2012/10/16 23:20
My a12 has just been completely finished, I worked the wiring out soo I decided to fill the radiator and realized it has a rather large water leak from the no 1 cylinder , I have brand new gaskets , I did have the head shaved but that's it any ideas on a solution? Cheers

you sure the water gallery is not corroded? corroded water gallery can do that, even when the head face is true.

odds-on you've installed the head gasket upside down.

Water near #1 cylinder can leak from:
* temperature sender
* head gasket
* intake manifold (wet type manifold)
* head intake face (wet type heads)

You havent filled a cylinder with water by any chance.
Maybe take the plugs out and turn it over by hand.
