Also, can you get a clutch fork in there by cutting a slot in the auto bell housing?

Enlarge your bottom pic, measre the distances on the area of concern as your manual tunnel has no lips around it making it look smaller. Clearly and obvious as mentioned before the auto is wider in the body and rear where mechanism sits the bell is still in question.

""can you get a clutch fork in there by cutting a slot in the auto bell housing?""
-yes thats right using stock 56a fork

When this adapter plate comes through I will put it in a 1000 and show the clearance required in a manual tunnel.
For now will await Neils input.

Good one Mike that means no problems with auto bell as it measures 32cm at the front and smaller at the rear just enough for manual tunnel. Im liking this idea from Dale will have to get the measurements for the face of the T50 box Height x width

Picked up an a 120Y auto for free the other day, wish I was in the position to of taken the whole car because apart from the rear of the chassis it wasn't bad for a coupe. I't probably making a very nice paper weight right now :(

I have a W58 or one of it's brothers which I'd like to fit so if you make adapters for that box I'm very interested. I've done nothing more on that little project than sit a 56 box next to it.
