Hi Bryan,

that would depend on how you wanted to finish it off,but with a wheel mounted to the short boss and put on the car the steering column thread will sit around 5mm past (stick out from) the flat surface of the wheel

You could run no spacer or the spacer could be machined down to be a lot thinner easily also.

Ok thats what I suspected.
This won't work for me as I have a quick release hub attached to the boss.
This sits flush against the boss kit and does not have a large enough hole to accomodate the nut.
If you have a solution I would be interested.

Cheers

Bryan

You could still fit the quick release with the spacer installed, or at least a spacer just thick enough to provide the required clearance...

I could supply or point you in the right direction to purchase a quick release which will work, this would replace the spacer and sit behind your steering wheel (between boss and wheel) it's pretty neat at only 25mm thick

Already have quick release so not keen to purchase another one.
As Benny said, I could always just do hub/spacer/quick release/wheel.
Not sure if these are mass produced or could get one with a little more thickness to accommodate the thickness of the nut? let me know. Happy to discuss through PM if preferred.

You could also mill your existing boss to a height that suits and retap the 6 mounting points for the quick release base.

Hi DON sorry i missed your question earlier, no samples available now

i'm not sure about that sparco, do you have any idea what the bolt pattern is?, perhaps the best is to try one on any normal boss kit to see if they line up?
