All looking pretty spesh Ernie, love the manifold! welds getting much better.
I would have thought the L20b 4 cyl distributor would be your best bet for cheap but megajolt unit DD has is something I want for myself!

I'm trying to keep this project rolling.
Finished up most of the wiring last night but stuck on this damn dizzy.
Can't finish the intake until the.motors in the car and level on the ground.
Just one more hump to get over.
Hoping to hear from DD shortly.

Put my mock motor back in with the new intake and just like last time, I couldn't get enough room to fit the 4 barrel Holley in without cutting a hole in my hood. Just not enough room between the intake and shock tower. The Webers stacked front and back fit just fine. I may be back to using the Webers which I know work just fine.
Now to Fab an intake for the Webers. Old one sucks. Onward.

Had a nice visit with DD today. He was full of a lot of info and a garage full of a lot of parts.
Also found out that a guy that lives close to me builds stand alone dizzys for carbureted KA24DE's. No ECU required. I'll be hooking up with him tomorrow. Pressing forward.

It sure is a nice place. The sun was out today.
Sounds like this guy builds dizzys for the KA motor from a MSD Chevy V8 distributor. So I purchase the distributor, give him my stock KA distributor and he makes two into one. He races mini stocks at the track and uses the KA24DE as his choice of motors. I'll be able to run my MSD Street Fire Multispark and Coil. No computer.

Today I got a chance to paint my compartment. Turned out good. Tape and tin foil work wonders for covering wire bundles and such.
More work, Sound like im going to have to build my own exhaust header. Nothing else fits.

Looks good, is it just the photo or is that a textured paint?

No texture. Just an acrylic semi gloss black. Mix in the hardener and spray. The front hood latch section is removable. Before I modified it, it got dented trying to stuff a bigger engine into it. When its removed, the motors slides right in.
Works slick.

I'd love to do that to my car, but it is against the rules with the department of transport here to cut the radiator support panel at all :(.

Had a chance to work again in the garage today and also get my intake manifold down the the weld shop to finish it up. All that is left is to build the intake for the Webers. Started it today. Cut the holes and drilled and tapped the studs. I believe I'll be done before the racing season starts.

Twin Weber down drafts. Carbs are spead far enough apart to get the air filters on. Intake trimmed at the line to its full length.
