Either option you will find hard to engineer with an aftermarket computer it is possible but there may be some expensive emission test's involved. Personally if the ute means a lot to you i would go with the a12 turbo that way if your ever inclined to put it back to standard it will be a heaps easier.

Stu i didnt think emissions was an issue if the block was carburetted in the first place or never had emissions control?.
If rules have changed & cant even use a SU drawthrough with E85, then how about...

This is why you take advantage of the Club Permit.

Pay $180odd per year rego, drive it 100+ days a year (cant remember exact days), join a club, attend at least one club event.

Your car needs to be of a good standard and worthy of being in a club event or show and shine, it does not have to be a full blown show car with polished everything but to a good standard where people will be interested in it.

Its not abusing the system, you guys don't know how lucky you are to have it and its a great opportunity to bring car enthusiast together and show the government that just because you have a modified car doesn't make you a hoon. Making you pay ridiculous amounts of money on engineering is the government abusing their power. However your car will be looked at by a scrutineer from a club, it will have to be roadworthy and no crazy modification, im sure an A series turbo will pass easy.

Yeah that was the case but pretty sure rules have changed I may be wrong but. Best to speak to engineer first and see what they say.

If it needs an engineers report for full reg, it needs an engineers report for club reg.
RWC`s are a different story.

D, those Gas systems are not stand alone. They need a factory engine managment system to piggyback off.

If it has to be engineered then so be it but I would imagine a turbo a series would be a hell of a lot easier than anything else.

If it's the original engine or upto 1380cc , why does it need to be engineered ??
