Thanks for the inspiring words. I just somehow have the ability to make things work. Its been a push these last two months.
No turbo here. The top mount turbo manifold that I flipped upside down can no longer take a turbo. I cut the flange off and welded a 3 inch stainless down pipe to it. It will then mate up with my 2 1/2 inch exhaust, Tuesday I hope.
I have to fix a leak in the rear brakes. I won't be back at it until Monday.
I still need to post some more photos.

Oh I would say I'm done with the engine compartment on this car. Make it go faster then update the brakes.
I would like to look into disk brakes for the rears.
Need for speed but braking would be cool too.

Which is not done yet. I have a 36" LP fire ring coming in the mail. I'll be stacking and mortaring rocks for my fire pit out in front of the lake.
After that there is more work to follow but always time for racing.
For some reason I think turbos are for rice rockets while superchargers are for real men..... and then I think to myself, wait is a Datsun 1200 a rice rocket? Ha ha

Think of it as 40year old rice, hard as a rock and take a bite out of it, you will be riding the porcelain bud for a week.

Its 40 and I'm 44. Pulled the car out of the garage and loaded it on the trailer this morning. Its now on the lift at the weld shop for new 2 1/2 exhaust. Engine seems to run well at idle. It was to loud to open up. Should be done today or early tomorrow. I'm going with a short 4 inch round Magnaflow muffler. It will sound good.
