Hi everyone, I have been on this forum for a few months, slowly building up my little ute with the help of all the useful info on here. I've owned a few old cars in my time, but this was to be my one proper old car build. Sadly this won't happen for me as my girlfriend is 6 weeks pregnant and she keeping the baby. I'm only 24 and half way through uni so I need to get my #OOPS# together ASAP. The ute has gotta go as I need a 4 door car, not to mention some money!

The ute is a 1985 model, which I believe is the last of the Aussie made models before they went over to Seth Ifrica to become bakkies.

A quick list off the top of my head as to whats been done to her in the time I've owned her, there is probably more that I will remember as I go on haha:

1) Stanza front end conversion - struts ball joints etc (brand new ball joints), and disc brake conversion. Brakes are fantasically balanced... the car pulls up strong and the rear never locks up.

2) Replaced multiple steering and suspension components for roadworthy:
-Inner and outer tie rod ends (the more expensive ones from datsport)
-Drag link (datsport)
-king low springs
-Rear shocks replaced with pedders standard replacements
- Rear had 2 inch lowering blocks, which have been removed but still come with the car.

3)Exterior wise:
-the front grille and bumper bar has been blacked out
-MK one VW golf chin spoiler added
-New side vent covers
-New polished stainless air vent scoops added (coupe style)
-New front valance panel fitted and painted
-New windscreen and windscreen seal fitted.

4) Engine:
- Stock A12, rebuilt by previous owner with mild cam of unknown specs- sounds lumpy but is not rediculous by any means. Engine runs strong, starts every time and sounds tough, considering what it is.
- I replaced the starter with a second hand unit as the old one was a bit dicky. Now no troubles at all. Very reliable and economic car which I suppose is relevant in this day and age.

5) Interior:
- Fitted Brand new Cobra classic seats. These look fantastic- nice and period correct and they are very comfy and hold you in place whilst on the touge. Bloody expensive too!
-Genuine Nardi Classic Woodgrain steering wheel fitted - made a huge difference to the drivability of the car actually, plus again, looks period correct and dope. Only thing is the centre button didnt fit with the steering wheel boss, so it has a generic datsun horn button. The Nardi horn button and surround is included with the sale and yes the horn does work still haha
-Dash is cracked, but new dash and components included! See bottom of ad for extra parts with sale.

) Miscellaneous:
-Rollin' on Impul hoshinos. As it sits - 13x6.5s on the front, 14x6.5's on the back, both with 175/60 respectively - a nice mild stretch, nothing too wild. These tyres have done less than 1000kms. I also have another pair of ZERO hoshinos, 14x7 with nice dish and 185/60's, also a complete set of 14x6 performance challengers - though depending on price you can chose between one set or all of the wheels.

-Electrical system all works sweet, all the lights work and all the lenses are in good nick. The rears are still the original koitos.


OK now for the bad stuff:

-The gearbox leaks oil slowly through the back where the speedo cable joins up. This could be fixed with a new speedo cable - I never got round to it, I have added about 100mls of oil to the gearbox each month. Having said this, the gearbox shifts really nicely - no crunching or dodgy synchros. Also I have a spare A series 4 speed which will come with the car, but I will list the spares that come with the car at the end of this ad.
-The door seals are getting on a little bit, however two brand new ones are included with the sale.
-The quarter window seals are shot and fully hard, however, again two brand new nissan OEM ones are included with the sale.
-There is a bit of a knock in the front left suspension. Not sure what it is, but only occurs on big bumps. Happy to take the car for a drive and you will see what I mean. This however, is not really a problem as the car comes with brand new coilovers which are yet to be installed. More details in the list below:

PARTS THAT COME WITH THE CAR:

OK, this car will come with a whole host of great parts which I have been slowly collecting in order to get this car sweet. Here is a list:

All parts to make coilovers:

-Shortened stanza struts, cut and rethreaded (supplied by datsport)
-KYB excel G inserts to suit the struts, brand new, from a 300z (datsport)
-150lm King Springs - A nice soft rate which I feel is suitable for this car with its light weight A series engine.
-Generic Camber tops
-Coilover sleeve kit
-Thrust bearing spring hats
(All that needs to be done to finish the coilovers is to weld on the threaded sleeves)

DASH COMPONENTS:

-Good condition coupe dash which has been professionally retrimmed in black
-Nice grey coupe dash surround with the stereo section intact and not hacked out
-Factory 8K tacho meter
-Good condition factory glove box
-Good condition factory glove box lid
-Good condition factory ash tray in black

Engine parts inclduing:

-Complete A14 engine, with H75 head, partially disassembled, to suit rebuild
-Also spare extra H75 head, rebuild and shaved and in great condition
-Set of brand new hurricane 4 into 1 extractors

Other miscellaneous parts such as:

Two diff centres, one being a 3.9 and the other a 4.11 to suit H175 ute diff
Weather seals such as the quarter windows and door seals.

Also included is a roll bar, a handful of receipts, plus the original dealer service books and nissan handbook. This is everything I can think of at the moment. I will add more things If I remember haha. Also the photos of the car are unwashed. I will give the old girl a clean and proper buff and take some photos of her in the sunshine to get an accurate look at her.

Price is $7500 ono for everything included, however I am negotiable, may mix and match wheels etc etc. $5000 for ute on the challengers and no spares. Offers etc welcomed. Please SMS 0403-927-276. Just as a side note, the ute will be $5000 on its own without any of the spares and on the challenger style wheels, not the hosinos. That way if the ute sells first then I will list the spares separately - I think most people have clicked this link thinking the spares are listed separately to the ute so I'll see how it goes. Thanks everyone

Thanks BeeJJ, I think the price is fair too. There are many on car sales listed for much more than this, even though many have 13B's and set up for drag racing etc, its getting harder to find one that hasn't been tubbed and 9 inched etc.
