Ca is a great engine and surely stock looks better than these eager rolla clowns trying to make it a Yota donk:

In the looks department the Ca design brief was inspired by the 80s racing blueys / Skylines (who wasnt when you saw those beasts!) & was not developed further like the RB series. The RB engine was smoothed out to add more finesse, less blockiness while CA had a short life replaced by the smooth but bigger SR20. Mazda mx5 had the nicest retro period finish but design brief was retro Lotus.

I love the CA but by just removing the blocky breather at the top & using connectors at the back sides with welded flat smooth tops with rounded edges helps. There is plenty of cast material thickness there, suits our period cars much better. Custom smooth plenum/inlet mani also helps the CA look much better also, colour or polished finish both work.

That is mighty impressive.
My only critisism is his plenium design.
Whilst it's beautiful, it's not designed along the lines of best practice. It's not tapered, and there are no trumpets protruding into where the air speed is higher.
That's about all I can fault though.
