Ute is looking great mate!
Still waiting to here some more A series goodness!! haha

As for knox carpets, i put the plus pile (the better one) in my ute 12 odd months ago and in a couple parts of it the actual fluff carpet has pulled away form the plastic mould part of the carpet, in a couple spots... One being just behind the clutch where its hardly ever touched... Disappointing in that respect.
As well as that the carpet fitted OK, not fantastic but OK. Its pretty clear they've taken a mould from an Auto trans tunnel so it is pretty damn loose around my manual tunnel. As well as saying that, it also hasnt had the seat mounts cut out.
Overall id say for the price its a pretty damndecent product, but is more of a universal datsun 1200 carpet and will work ok if the time it taken to fit it....

Near to no progress has been made on the ute as of latly just a few minor things like the underbody sealer has been completed so at least now the body looks neat..

Been having a few issues and not alot of time with the car, had been running great and has now some how gone out.. tweaked around with a few things and have found its running a bit rich so i need to go ahead and fix that but changed out the spark plugs to some platnums and seemed to make a difference and fixed the distributor gap up to .45-.55 as for some reason it was not right..

But the ute is still running sluggish and weird, when i take it for a quick drive around the block it just isnt driving right idles fine and revs up fine just when you put your foot down a little there is no power as though no air or too much fuel when driving.. but i have checked and it shows to be getting air fine with or with out the air filter to the webers and checked the lines fuel is a constant flow and not being great with twin webbers im not sure how to resolve this issue..

Other than that alot of time has been spent on my brothers car ford XC as i don't have the funds to currently to get the last little things to finish the ute and get it engineered plus registered.. Starting to become a joke not having the car on the road :(

It honestly looks beautiful! Its great seeing it can be done by those of us who work for a living. . .
Btw, what diameter is the exhaust outlet? Seems to suit perfectly

Cheers mate still alot of minor things to do but its getting closer..

The exhaust system is genie extractors 4 into 1 with a 2.25 system back with a cat and then just the tip itself.. so it sounds great but is still quiet at idle

Have not made much progress have some really rare diff issues ill take some pictures and add it in to give you an idea..

but have the coilovers and lowering blocks in and put it on the ground for a quick look at how it sits the ute now tucks guard front and rear its a bit too low the exhaust flange is around 50mm off the ground the chassis rails around approx 110-120mm

Here is how it looks

really lovely build, top marks LK.

As for the carpet from that Knox carpet mucher mob Eddy mentioned you best go for the cheapest loop pile its somehow much stronger than the plush premium they offer in that it doesnt fluff up or fray. Never had an issue with plain black and easy to touch up with cheap black enamel black paint if you ever stain it or cant vacuum the white dust off that sometimes gets caught in it very tightly.
