Well it finally runs. It is not completely tuned but it does idle and rev nicely. I have only driven it about 400m and started to come onto boost very early. The ignition curve still needs to be played with so I don't get as much advance and some more finer tuning on the SU is needed. I also have to move my throttle cable position as it is very jerky and susceptable to heat from the turbo and exhaust.

A12 turbo suk thru jobby. T25 with 1 3/4' SU.

Good to hear dude. I'd love to see some detailed pics, if you get the chance.
Afew qustions though,
Have you lowered the compression?
Is the motor otherwise standard?
If not what mods,
Is the turbo manifold custom made, or did you incoparate a standard exuast manifold?
I cant wait to try my hand at building one of these myself in the future.

PS how much has this set up cost you to build? I think that it could be done cheaper than a pair of dellortos.

good to hear Craig! Can't wait to see how it goes! My old sedan won't know what hit it - and neither will the gearbox

what's the first event?

I have tried the Hitachi carb to not success and then a 45 side draft, tonnes of grunt and top end but very little driveablility. Now run Stromburg CD175,great to drive in traffic and on the open roads but still missing the weber suck and turbo whistle together. Is been on an A14. I'm interested in your intake manifold, can you give us a run down?

Spec are as follows,

Engine: Acid dipped, cleaned the block, decked the pistons slightly (I only took the dish off them and made them flat top), A14 head, balanced bottome end and lightened flywheel. I have no idea what compression it is running but it is lower than std. I am running the std dizzy and it will be setup so that the timing does not advance past a certain point. It is not fully tuned atm but enough so I can rego it. No idea how it really goes yet as I have not given it a real test drive.

Custom intake plenum and turbo manifold as seen in my avataar. SU sitting in front of the T25 turbo which has been rebuilt and carbon sealed. 2.5' mandrel exhaust.

I went a12 because I have to keep my engine capacity under 2L for racing. According to CAMS' rules with my turbo on my car is 1992.8cc's.

Harry: First event was going to be coastal classic but I don't know if it will be ready in time.
