Unless it's a turbo carby engine But I think that Unfamilia has guessed right.. Your Boost guage will only show vaccuum, if you don't have a supercharger or turbo. The connection is normally on the valve side of the throttle butterflies (throttle body). Cheers.

It would be useless, but instead, you can have a vaccumm gage, I have one, tells you about your vaccumm condition, at idle, when flooring the pedal, helps you save gas by optimizing vaccumm at cruising speeds, and vacumm also indicated ather problems, like a shaking needle indicates valve burnt, or leaky head gasket, etc, it is good, I have one in my B210 and other cars. I recomend it.It is also fun, this crazy neddle moving fast, it is an added instrument in your control panel. Later._____________________

Yes you can fit a boost guage to a drawthriugh blower set up. I have an autoguage one for mine. BUT, one thing to bear in mind is that because the boost signal to it is combustable mixture, its not exactly safe (or legal) to have this guage mounted inside the car. The best bet is to mount a guage in a cup on the cowl panel, so if a leak develops you aren;t going to get burned.

i think you can get electronic boost guages that use a solenoid, so you dont have to worry about the "big bang theory" on a drw through set up... cost 3 times more though.
also shkey guage/needle, does it mean head gasket, burnt valve or vaccum leak? I thought it was because i got it from the wreckers for $5... an old smiths one from a morris minor

ok a14force thanks, its good to have ppl going through the same set up im embarking upon. exactly where do u mount it? on one of the three supercharger vacuum lines? , inlet manifold- after s/c? or before s/c but after carby? also is it legal to have gauges in metal cups outside the car?
edit: sorry one last question i was thinking, if running an airline to the gauge with fuel in it would this affect the air/fuel mixture in any noticable way?

You need to tee the feed to the gauge from between the supercharger an the intake ports.( beacause I have modified part of a standard a14 intake manifold, I ham using the brake booster port on the intake runner to cylrnders 3and 4. Having it set up like this will not affect the air fuel mixture because the line is a dead end. The signal is static, its pressure just fluctuates with the engines vaccum and boost. It should be legal to have externally mounted guages, so long as they don't obscure your vision. It's probably a good idea to mount your fuel pressure guage in the same way.
