I'm offering my Vintage Datsun for sale. The car has been a very reliable and fun car to drive. I spent 2 years rebuilding and making the car into what it is now. I have a Photobucket with the build photos from day one to the first race at Eagles Canyon 2014. I also have in car video of some of the races. I only posted a few photos because you can go to the photo bucket and see everything else. I raced this car with the CVAR group. They have a drivers school and race coming up at TWS in FEB. You could buy this car and race that weekend, the car needs nothing but gas to go racing.

4 mounted rain tires
4 steel wheels
2 stock 4sp trannys
1200cc short block race engine
1200cc complete stock engine
1400cc complete stock engine
2 complete cylinder heads
2 stock 3.9 rear gears
Stock body parts, fenders, doors, hood, trunk lid, complete front suspension, driveshaft, complete rear suspension.
Plus even more that's too much to list.

The car, with all the spares and an all steel dovetailed open trailer. . .$12000

Nice! VERY detailed build-out documented in the photobucket link!
This will make someone a nice vintage racer in the GTL-ish vintage classes. IMHO, it's really a bit too modded to be considered C Sedan for most vintage organizations.

Stan C-sedan morphed very quickly around 75-76 hence the change to GT-5 /GTL. A lot of work did indeed go it on this car.

The one thing I do not like that is common to most GTL 1200s & 510s is the outer rear fender being cut, this is not a dig on the current owner at all, as again it's very common but you do give up a good bit of chassis rigidity. Most Nissan build manuals spec completely seam wedding the join between the inner and outer fenders. If I were in the market for a 1200 it would not to stop me from buying this car. Especially as I run vintage GTL with VARA now.

What I did really like on the car is the seat mounting, it shows that the car builder put some thought into their own safety.

Mattndew76, as someone married to a woman of color I am quite partial to an hour glass shape.

Dave, on the headrest I prefer a full height seat rather than the low with head rest. My Formula 500 uses this set up and I plan to change it. While it isn't vintage I also like containment seats.
