Hey Everyone.

Have been inactive for a bit but finally ready to start doing the datto up.

I'm looking at buying the following items. For the right gear in the right condition i am happy to pay what they are worth.

5 speed t50 gearbox with dellows conversion. Looking for complete setup to bolt straight to an a15.

Double Crank Pulley to suit a15. Going to put aircon in eventually.

Anyone got a dizzy blank off plate/plug by any chance? Or can anyone suggest an alternative?

Would the engine mounts to make an a15 fit in a 1200 be the same for a 1000? If so, does anyone wish to part with a set? Happy to make some up but if I don't have to...

Also alternator bracket to go on drivers side on an a15.

I think thats it.

Also selling 13x6 ssr meshies. Matching set of 4.

Thanks in advance

Matt

You could use appropriately sized core/freeze/welsh plug to block the distributor hole.

You can use the distributor plate with an O-ring and a large washer

Or have a machinist make simple Aluminum plug:

Matty early A12 with A14 crank would be much easier for engineering
and no mucking around with engine mounts etc.
Some guys here with the early block have gone as far as 77mm as they
have alot of meat compared to later ones.
Also fiasss suggestion of a welch is plug, easy, cheap and looks stock.

Thanks for all the replies...

Might go the welsh plug direction.

Dave, engineering shouldn't be an issue as I know a fella who can pass quite easily. I already have the a15 aswell ;P

Waiting game starts...

Is there a photo of Joey's manifold?

Factory A14/A15 EFI manifold is a very good design, equal length runners, properly sized plenum, correctly positioned injectors, good for 6400 RPM usage ... but it sure is ugly

not sure where you are at with the A15 parts but
joeys manifold from Soufrika looks more retro cool
than any efi manifold Ive seen on the older builds
and its much better design than Nissans factory EFI.
Hit him up for some pics as it doesnt seem to be on
his build page and DD not on this site unfortunately

edit:
interesting you are no longer going sr16ve :)
NA SRs are just too dangerous for a 1000

look at welch plugs on this manifold and
weird generator? instead of alternator?

Yes the SR just seems way too heavy for a 1k. It took me a while to accept the fact haha. Yes it's doable and sure you could beef up the suspension but I just don't believe it will ever be as good as one would like.

A15 is well proven and is perfect for originality.

I have actually just bought the efi kit that Leigh (lagwagon) had on his vb10. Chris (clyons8) owned it I think after him, then sold it to the fella i'm buying it off now. Just getting shipping organised now. As for the a15, it will need a rebuild but looks in fairly stock standard condition with a h89 head. Got it cheap enough so i'm definately going that route so the old man can teach me how to rebuild aswell.

On a side note! I'm designing a steam engine at the moment that I eventually want to put in the 1000. But if the prototypes fail then I will be very happy with an a15 build. I'll know in a few months haha anyway

Bumpidy bump, will still need a 5 speed atleast on the a12 as soon as possible as i just went to tafe for the first time tonight and that is a long drive to be screaming on 90 down the highway for an hour and a half!!!

Anyone got the t50 and dellows!?
