This is my beast




75' 120y. Originally 1200 auto, now sporting an a15 and 5 speed box. Part way through coilover build to lower some more. WHeels are 13x7 work equip 01s with 175/50 tyres

metropalis, the excellent tail lights are very cool!
beaver, love the factory 70s colour. looks great lowered on those period wheels :)

my July '74 120Y 4 door should be in that stage soon too, Sharm, but mine's not got that better looking PB210 front on it... would love to transpant the PB210 front on mine, but would be to scared to drive it....

the two bits that worry me are the rust patch up on the passengers side up near the windscreen, along where the guard bolts on, and the damage to the roof (dad lifted it up with the front loader while it was a stripped out shell to move it and folded the drip rails upwards tried to fix the damage but thinking it needs a roof skin change if you pause the youtube vide you can see the damage...

I have a full set of 200B SX alloys, gonna have them done up and be black where the red is now... failing that Watanbe's would be awesome! not got up to date pic of it but this is how it is now, but front bumper and gril are off as it ha an electrical gremlin which I tracked down to be a flat battery...

since that video was made it no has a black guard off my July '75 120Y - which is off TD3 ironically...

and almost ALL of my doors have fatigue cracks near the hinge attachment points grr including the doors off TD3 which are on the black car - anyone know if there are reproduction 4 door doors available?

Hi I live in South Africa and have 2 Datsun 160Y's. One is standard with an L16 engine and the other I've just fitted a CA 18 DET engine into. I want to change the front strut assemblies to something with more stopping power and better handling on the CA18 one. do you know of any suitable quick changes such as Skyline or Stanza that might do?

Stanza A10 came with 245mm disc brake rotors. Same size as the 160Y most likely.

Why not use the Skyline R32 rotors? Keep your 160Y struts, and bolt on the 257 mm vented discs. Use Hilux 4-pot calipers. See 257 mm Brakes

The 160Y is Datsun Type GB211. This model used 245 mm disc brake rotor (at least it did in Japan).

* 40202-A0155 HUB (same as A10 Stanza)
* 40205-U6700 245 mm ROTOR (same as A10 Stanza)

You can measure yours to find out what you have. The 257mm rotor also was fitted to EUROPE S13 as well as R32 Skyline, so it's a definite upgrade.
