I am considering buying RS40-D1-K, Mikuni RS 40mm Carb Kit from mikunioz.com to fit on my a12gx sunny
Will these bolt up to a weber style side draught manifold?
Any advice?

I don't think it will fit a Weber DCOE manifold. Mikuni PHH fits it

Those RS carbs are bike carbs, aren't they?

I am a bit stumped at what carbs I want to use and it's my first time playing with side draughts I don't want the learning curve to be to expensive.
They are going on a worked a12 with gx head in to my 310 sunny which I am building to do some drifting in.
Any advice on what and where to buy and reccomendations around Adelaide to tune it?

for a first timer i would probably recommend SU's over bike carbs or DCOE style carbs. super easy to tune and maintain, and in AUS, im sure finding a set wont be too hard

The SUs are a bit easier to tune as you simply spin the adjuster up or down to change the jetting but bike carbs (or any others for that matter) are easy enough to tune. To get that last 315 horsepower does take a bit of knowledge but you can get them 95% with not a lot of effort. Either fitting an air fuel ratio gauge or taking it to a dyno place to tune it will get it done. There is a ton of how to jetting info on the web.

If you have a GX manifold and the SUs already I'd stick with that. You can fit a set of twin bike carbs; loads of British car guys are using a set of twin Mikuni carbs to good effect.

I am considering this,
what' size Venturi and fuel inlet valve size is recommended?
I wish I had the specs on the engine build but I dont.

drift? you need boost or a bit more than an A12 and A series box
unless you can spray on enough butter in front of you :)

Ah man, use the GX intake and GX carbs, they are 38mm constant depression type

general DCOE 40mm sizing guidelines for 1200cc racing:
* 6400 RPM: 29 mm venturis
* 8000 RPM: 36 mm venturis
