the thread on the hot 4s has got me started....

i was in my father in laws bog stock mazda bravo work ute the other night, with about 1000kg of horse shoes and anvils on the tray.
waiting at the lights an exel pulled into the left lane to beat me off the lights (as his lane ran out fairly quickly).
i looked across and noticed the big wheels, body kit, scoops and the HUGE monster tacho mounted almost in the middle of the windscreen (no doubt it was an auto), and those pissy blue lights on the windscreen washers.
i thought "here we go" he HAS to be running something quick in this...
nope....
the bog stock auto 4cl work hack of my father in laws launched hard and pulled well clear of the exel... and this is one SLOW ute.

i was pissing myself laughing at the riced up exel... even more so when he got a run up and "flew"
past me further down the road.

now im all for the "each to his own" theory, and appreciate all sorts of cars, but come on!!!

I'm with your thinkin on this one. The reason I started building my ute in the first place was because I hated drivers who think they are good in a excel or hyundai that's spoofed up. They just have no character or class (that's the drivers or the cars). I've seen one hyundai lancer that actually looked tough on the road but it was plain and simple, no big spoilers or body kits, just plain lines and smoothe in appearance.
I detest these sorts of drivers on the road. They have no idea what style or real grunt is all about. Can't wait till I'm on the road again so I can show them what it's all about.

I would love to get them out on the race track too and then see how big thay are. Monster tachs were made for race cars with real grunt not ####box hyundais!

You have to ask yourself - Where is the fun in buying and sticking on parts with double sided tape? Oh sorry, they use a screw driver sometimes. Some are worse and send their car to an install shop for a day.
