just wondering if i would need a brake booster to engineer my 1200 ute and if so which one is best suited 4 the job

Yes, Sorry Shaun, but I don't know what engine you are putting in, so I don't know what clutch hydraulic master cylinder you plan to run. It's not easy, and it's VERY tight when you are running a hydraulic clutch.

I would recommend using no booster, if you are running a htdraulic clutch.

If you are running a cable clutch, then the Mitsubishi LA/LB Lancer one is best, unless you have a very late model Ute, and then you can get away with using the 120Y booster.

It's not as easy a question as "What booster?".

I just went throught all of these problems when installing my CA18DET which booster, should i run a booster alot of headaches.
Chris is probaly right a lancer booster is a good choice fit nice and snug BUT finding 1 is another story.
I finally decided on a remote brake booster mounted under the dash they are not the cheapest solution but look the neatest and work very well and you are not using second hand parts.

im running just an a14 motor with a vl turbo
i was just wondering if that would require a booster 2 get engineered

Ok so you have an A14 with a turbo off a VL turbo, which is a T03 turbo. That turbo would be a ted too big for an A14 don't you think??? It's gonna be quite laggy.

It depends on your engineer, they generally like to see bigger disk brakes up the front, some liek to see boosters other don't. Ask some engineers see what they say it will help you fix any probs or questions now rather then get knocked back because of something small

yeah i thought it was a bit big but i only just brought the car do u think i should go 4 something a bit smaller but if i went 4 something smaller wouldnt ihave 2 change a few things would it b worth it in the end
cost and time wise
sorry new at this stuff and i dont know much about turbo setups

Ive been told buy my engineer that I dont need to run a booster as long as I pass a brakeing test it will be engineered.Speak to the guy that to are going to use and see what they say
