don't you hate that sound when you accelerate and hit about 3000rpm and all you hear is the FAN!!!!

just like toyotas,mazdas,mitsubishi..its anoying and don't sound any cool,or sound fast...do you guys know what i mean???

is there anyway i can get rid of that sound??

if not i'm thinking of taking the fan out and put an ELECTRIC fan..what you guys think????

get a 16in thermo - it will flow twice the air of 2x 10in thermos.

electric fans are the way. It's a bit of $$ to put one in, but cools the engine more efficiently, and actually frees up a bit of power not having the fan directly loading down the engine.

Its a catch 22. Electric fans load up the alternator, and since the alternator is harder to turn, load is still placed upon the engine. Thats why electric fans are usually temp activated instead of permanently on.

If you set your fan up with a thermostat, the fan won't run while you're on the freeway because the air being forced throught the grille will be plenty. Less drag on the accessory drive means better mpg, which means better efficiency, and that means more power. I doubt you will notice the extra power. Your fan will run chugging around town though so the increased mpg will be predominately on the freeway.

i've set mine up in the 240C (it's auto now) to come on when the brake pedal is activated.

i have a secondary switch for hot days though, just in case.
