hey guys i have organised a weekend down the GOR for the 18th and 19th off dec here are the details

The details of the meeting place at 10.30am for a 11am leave in altona are as follows:

Take the first turnoff after the Ring Road meets the Princess. It is Kororoit Creek Road turnoff (Melways 53 H4). If you turn Right at this turnoff and go over the bridge there is a payphone and hotel (Melways 53 f4) and you can see the cars from the interserction like at tooronga. Its close to the princess and means when we get back on it goes straight to Geelong.

Second meeting place in geelong at 11.45am so that we can meet up and regroup at dicksmith carpark just when you get into geelong on your left.

Thenhave a nice drive down to Lorne for lunch (maybe pub) 12.30.
-stop of at The Otway Fly??? ( www.otwayfly.com ) for afternoon tea. 1.45
-stop off at the televe apostles 2.45
-warnabool at around 4.15

We will be staying at the tudor inn. will cost around $40per person

sunday will to home thro colac then if people want to go back from there but some off us will be going back down to apollo bay then back along the gor to geelong then back to melbs...

hope you can make it.

thanks Ben

damn sounds good but time off work is an issue, specially since i took next week off to race this car we built at uni, bugger

i didnt make it to the bendigo cruise mate as ive had issues with the car, and i dont think i can make that show and shine this weekend due to uni stuff , bad time for me unfortunately

does a great ocean road cruise require an overnight stop or can it be done in one day?

i think people would be keener for a one dayer? im happy to organise one if thats what the people want?

dunno just flying ideas around
let us know what you guys rection?

Melbourne to 12 Apostles and back is do-able in one day. That's the best bits of the drive.

Going all the way to Mt Gambier and back is a bit harder.

I recommend starting at 5.30am. Or as soon as possible after sunrise.

Free reign on the road, no "idiot tourists" in their rental cars.

The roads from Torquay is when the fun begins.

I'd be in, if I had my datto going, and if I lived in Melbourne.
