i've looked in the tech section, and i've run a search .... but just interested to know what master cylinders - no booster - people are using and with what brake upgrade ??
i've just about finished reco'ing a set of stanza struts and brakes and i already have a tandem master cylinder, but it's leaking.

any input/advice would be good

in anticipation of your responses cheers guys

thanks dattoman_1000 .......

guess most of the others are more interested in going fast than stopping ???

i used to be of the opinion that the pedal in the middle was only for an emergency .... then, as i grew older realised that it could also make you go faster when used well ??!!

i'll open up the range of response availability.... what about master cylinders with boosters ???

one of my 1200's has a LA/LB lancer master cyl and brake booster running standard stanza girlock disks up front and skyline disks up back with good results.

my other has 180B master cyl and no booster yet with stock drums at the back and kingswood callipers on stanza struts pulls up sweet but theres a bit of pedal effort when your O s**t braking

When I put disks on the back I will proably put a lancer booster on just to make it that bit easier on the foot.

just curious if u only want to replace your master cyl why not just get the bore re sleved? it will be cheeper than a new one

I've posted this somewhere else, but I have an N10 pulsar booster (non PBR) and LB Lancer booster bracket (which was cut down to 30mm deep). This was able to bolt to the firwall, fit the brake pedal bracket perfectly and the booster doesn't require any modification to bolt on a late model Master Cylinder.
I recently sold my ute that had this setup with S13 SR20 front brakes and drums, with the S13 MC. I have my baby which has the same booster but Z32 brakes all round and Z32 MC.
Hope this helps out!
