Front guard clearance issues

I'm having trouble getting front guard clearance on my 1200 coupe. I'm running stanza struts (not lowered yet), with a little bit of camber (adjustable lower control arms). Tyre size is 13x205x60.
If I lower the car and add a bit more camber, it looks like it will make the problem worse.
Has anyone got any thoughts on a fix for this problem?
cheers
Bruce

You don't want to know what I did....and I have 205/60/15is

Let's just say it involved removing quite a lot of metal

Where are the clearance issues...I am assuming it's at the top?

Can you wind off some of the castor? Do you have adjustable Radius rods?

At the top is a little more difficult, unless you want to run more camber, and use adjustable strut tops....but that's no good if it's a daily driver.

ahhhh! No!

this is normal for a 1200 with big tyres. cut some material off the front of the gaurd opening. A jigsaw (with a bit of race tape on the base to protect the paintwork) will do a much neater job than tin snips.

And you will have to lip the gaurd and pump it a bit to fit a 205/60 under there. Get the hammers, levers, and blocks of wood out!

Then again, doing a little homework first, & fitting the right tyres would have precluded the problem in the first place, saveed you a few dollars, & prevented the need to butcher a poor unsupectring little Datsun.
