hey guys just wondering as it happened to me yesterday if anyone has ever not been able to pay at a petrol station ??? and what had happened??? my keycard expired on 31st of march and i couldnt pay, mind u i was running late for work and didnt need the hassle, so they took down my details and made me wait for 30 mins while the cops were called !!!! they treated me like a criminal !!! they give u 48 hrs to pay or the cops come get u. seems a little stupid as why would i give em my licence details, adress two phone numbers and registration, if i was going to do a runner !!!!

Yeah, well in Sydney I can understand them making sure that everyone pays, but out here I usually know the person in the servo and they just write it down and say come and pay later. Nice and friendly out here.

Not that it matters cause work pays my fuel bill anyway.

I used to work-help manage at a servo even though its in the country you would be suprised the amount of times some people try to scam for free fuel. Not saying you are that kind of person but once bitten twice shy. We used to have a failure to pay book they had to fill out and have photo licence ect. If they did not come back within 48 hrs the details would be given to police and taken further even with thsi we still ocasionally got riped off.

used towork at a petrol station years ago, you would be supprised by the ammount of dodgey licences too, cops cant track a non existent person or rego... we would take chasis numbers too, they can always be tracked, if regoed...(a lot of non regoed cars too on the roads)

Never happened to me !
I pay cash , so check before you fill .
Lets face it if you drive a Datsun $10 will get you a fair way!
I tend to leave my cards as a last resort, call me old fasioned.

Seems calling the cops is a tad harsh for what? $20-$30 bucks worth of fuel.
