ill stop trying to get more from the a15, it seems at its limit, and like ive always said ill go CA before i do up the internals of an a-series

how much power did it have in the end? Did you ever get it to a drag strip?

have you pulled the A15 down yet? what broke?

to put that into perspective, althought the a15tt now has an e, which would in theory make it run quicker.... the 1000 coupe at the nissdat heathcote drag day was running 15.4's all day with an a15 and twin webers...

thats a very unrealistic time for the a15tt as it ran like absolute crap then (no full throttle, no reving past 4500, died on start when loaded up, something to do with fuel problems which i dont remember now)

so no that doesnt put it in perspective
and thats why i never mention that time as it is not a good indicator, i think it didnt even run that i think best was 16 something

on the good side of things, i pulled the motor out today and the fly wheel bolts were a few threads out on each, so looks like the good ol' a15 is still good for more punishment, i'll try to slot it back in tomorrow and have it up and running again provided thats the only problem it has

i tend to disaggre, it ran a 15.6, i was there with you after we set the gap on the plugs. It all cam good for one run.
Yes it was not a true time but it was the time and all you can do is improve on that.
The car was running like an artificial rev limit and wouldnt hook up.
Just think, it might run a mid 14 striaght out of the box now (especially with a 5 speed).

Get it running good, one solid run 1200rc and then retire the thing for a road car, pur the $$$ into the coupe and it wll be 12sec 1/4s all day every day.

Just to give you some A-series inspiration my uncle and cousin built an a14 for a bloke. He did go with forged rods and pistons though. But my cousing did the head and the matched a cam up to suit the supercharger and it ran a 12.7 I dont remember the mph. But that is pretty impressive to say the least.
1.4/1.5L, pushrod single cam and non-crossflow. I can get the head profile too.
