I'm looking for top strutts(spelling?)....or something. Ultratune said it'll cost $1100 just to buy the part, so i was wondering if anyone has one of these to sell. It's for a 1200 ute if that makes a difference.
BTW, what are strutts?

ultratune are taking you for a "walk down the garden path" I take it they are referring to mcpherson struts i.e front suspesion. Possible could cost that for new items [ the pair] + labour but I very much doubt it.

Your local wrecker would probably have what you need......aprrox $150 to $250 tops even thats a bit steep.

Benny

PS Just re-read your post. Where abouts are you located and I have a pair of 120y struts with disk brakes if you are interested.

No good with the wreckers, i'm from bathurst so 90% of what the have are beat up VK's. I went in there once and as soon as i said datsun he said no they didn't have anything. Datsuns are rare and expensive round here.

Tried them, they're no good either. Apparently i was mistaken on the price of new ones too, it was $1100 all up with all the other stuff wrong with it. There only $500 brand new so atleast the guy wasn't jerkin me around. Apperntly the strutt tops are alot more expensive then the stutts themselves. He gave me a bit more detail about what it is i need, they're a 3pin strutt tops for a b120 ute. Or he said if they're got the same measurements any dato tops should fit in.

First thing I would do is phone your local Nissan dealer and get a price and then go to another mechanic and ask him much CASH he would charge to fit them.
Just so you know I delt with many ultratunes over 18 odd years doing parts and I think they are crap.

yeah ..no way are they that expensive..

These are from an invoice of parts I bought in 2001.

54059H1000 SEAT 11.46 (Not sure if this is needed)
54320H1000 INSULATOR STRUT MNTG 166.07
54325H1000 BEARING FRONT STRUT 78.51

So 255 South African Rand per side.

Which is a huge 49.0270 AUD / side.

So I don't know where your supplier's markup is???
