Can anyone tell me if CA20 flywheels are different to CA18 flywheels?
The CA20's are more common at the wreckers.
cheers
Bruce

Front pulley (harmonic balancer) is also smaller diameter, where it fits on the crank.

Sorry bruce Im unsure if the NA or FWD flywheel is the same as Turbo one
If you need a new flywheel I can recomend getting a brand new lightened one !! the engine becomes heaps more responsive and better with gear shifts ect they are around $300 all you need is a ringear.Open in new window

I'm now interested in the answer to this topic - does the CA18DE flywheel have the same 8 bolts and the CA18DET flywheel.

I need to get my crank bolt off to pull of the front pulley - and to hold the bolt back whilst I undid it I was going to get a cheap arse flywheel to bolt up...was a little concerned is using the flywheel I plan to put in the engine.

Same number of bolts, potentially different clutch to suit.

CA16DE FWD = 200mm clutch plate
CA18DE FWD = 215mm clutch plate
CA18DET RWD = 225mm clutch plate

Call a clutch supplier to find out more.
Specialised Brake and Clutch at St Marys in Western Sydney should be good to help.
