First a comment: THIS IS A FAMILY FORUM, FOR GOD'S SAKE, PUT A SHIRT ON! Just kidding.
Now to the questions: Could you 'splain LPG to me a little bit better? (I never really think about using it because I know nothing about it.)
How would it plumb into the intake? (Mind you, I'm talking about the turbo A-12 from another post.)
Does it come out as a gas and therefore flow like air in the manifold? (I want to try to use the single side draft manifold I have or a stock A-14 manifold, but I'm worried about mixture distribution.)
Would the higher octane rating make the intercooler a moot point? (I'm thinking I could get rid of the pressure loss if I don't need it.)
Help me please! I'm intrigued.
Oh, and sorry about the shirt comment.

Yeah Bob. I agree.

I look at the 1200 forums from work regularly, and I don't need people thinking I'm visiting some kind of 'dude with no shirt on' kinds of websites. Besides, it's generally cold in Canberra, if you were from temperate Queensland, or the Northern Territory, I might understand.

Anyway, I'm offering to touch up your avatar in photoshop to fit in with the Reverend Fred Nile 'decency act'

Whatever..it's good for a laugh. If you like your avatar, then good for you.

Chris

firstly gas aint gas its liquid, basically lpg is a liquid like petrol and i think there are diffrent ways of running it but most commonly a ring is put over the carb between it and air cleaner and this distibutes the `liquid` in, i dont know great details but just to keep you thinking while you wait for bob

I realize the "L" in LPG stands for Liquid, I just thought it referred to when it was stored. I'm picturing the stuff returning to gasseous form when introduced to the airstream, like nitrous oxide. Once again, I know nothing about LPG systems. But that is pretty obvious.

1200rallycar prety much nailed but u use the gas ring or (dohnut)? when useing a carby with duel fuel but the best economy and performance is produced with straight gas in a turbo set up best way to go is use a throttle body with a donut or a mixer on that. the lpg come from the tank as a liuqid? (this thing got a spell checker?) and passes throu a converter witch is plumbed in to the cooling system as the gas is very cold when it turns from luqid to gas and needs the hot water/coolant (im too lazy for coolant) to keep the converter from turning to a block of ice i will try and get some pics of some set ups on my way to the pub this morning any more questions i will do my best to answer and remember lpg is your friend irs 112 octain there abouts and is enviro friendly :) as for the avatar i cant help it if im a sexy beast of a man lol im thinkin of chaingin it

I just found the photo essay on LPG. Looks like you really know your gas. I was intrigued with that dual fuel setup for the Weber carb.
It looks to me like all of the work of metering the amount of gas is done in the regulator. Is that the case? If so, I could put the nozzle pretty much anywhere I wanted in the intake tract, correct? Could it theoretically be split between four nozzles and made multipoint? Or is that more work than is necessary?
Also, couldn't the cooling effect of the liquid to gas conversion be harnessed as an intercooler? I'm thinking box the converter in the path of the air or circulate coolant through it and an air to water intercooler. With that you could have an intercooler with greater than 100% efficiency! Or am I reinventing the wheel here?
I'm very intrigued by this idea!
