a crazy a14,twin webers and open diff in the wett now that can be scary... i can hardly give any throttle just loses traction like crazy. just trying to take off nicely is sum effort. but it can be very fun too with the wheels spinning in every gear with full rev'age (in a straight line of course)

straight line!!! You need an LSD That'll turn a straight road into a very bendy one in the wet.

All I can only say..been there...I'm too old for that ..on a track maybe it's ok

Chris with the amount of power your sedan is gonna put out, its gonna be wett roads day anytime you like one slam of the accelerator and a quick shift and it will be "rubber deposit day at the tarmac bank"

Yeah....I might be full of it

But I'll have to see if it'll make a deposit

I'll have the short shift kit installed, so all gear changes will be pretty slick.

..I like your call "rubber deposit at the tarmac bank"....

I love the rain too. Its great for the garden, water supply, farmers, environment etc.

In fact, the only downside is that it brings out all the idiots in their underpowered cars with exactly this kind of anti-social behaviour, causing a nuisance and danger to others in the community. This kind of behaviour really shouldn't be encouraged or glorified. There's plenty of skid pan or drifting days where you can go and enjoy this kind of activity in a safe and legal environment where you are not interfering with the rest of the community who just like to use their roads for safely commuting their families.

I can't wait for the torrent of adolescent objections to this post.

can you honestly tell me that a burnout day would not boo an A14 off for being under powered and boring? it's all good saying go to one of these drift days or burnout days but my car just isn't that kind of machine.... not in the dry. i think all they are saying is there is nothing wrong with a bit of traction loss off from the lights and a bit of tail out action when turning a corner. it's all a bit of fun.... just don't go silly with it, IE: doing donuts at intersections and the like.

i just think you should lighten up a bit we don't all have CA or SR or L20B L18 strokers and the like to be able to lay it down against the V8 boys, we just have a bit of 1400cc fun!!!
