The bore & stroke of the Nissan L20 engine is listed in my ACL engine parts catalogue as being 77.95 x 69.7mm
I'd call it a nominal 78 x 70mm
The dimentions remain unchanged for the L20A, the L20E & the L20S, & no, I have no idea what the diference is in these engines that warrants a diferent engine code.
The L20B has a bore & stroke of 85 x 86mm

In Nissan engine code usage, endings with E mean EGI (Nissan's term for EFI), and S means carbureted. So L20 and L20S are the same since they didn't start using the S until later to distinguish it from E.

L20B = L-series four-cylinder 2-liter
L20 = L-series six-cylinder 2-liter

I betcha he's talking about the 4cyl...

but since everyone is being pedantic, you left out the L20ET, and the turbo diesel LD20T 4cyl.

Neither of these two engines are listed in my older edition of the ACL catalogue.
Out of curiosity, whats the diference between being pedantic,... & answering the question that was ACTUALLY asked? I seem to lack the ability to read other peoples minds, & yes, i guessed that he 'may' have meant the L20B, which is why i confirmed the specs, but i did not KNOW that, so i amswered the question that was posed in the post. Why is there a problem with that?
