I forgot to add that the name of the folder is "1200 Sales Brochures". I just don't know where I get these catchy titles!! Has any one else got any 1200 sales stuff to add? Most of us
were too young to see a brand spanking new Datto, my 1200 fixation was caused from seeing them all lowered out and flared screaming around a race circuit. Now as I'm older and after years
of modifying them my current project is a "racetoration"...everyone my age has seen modified ones but a stock looking 1200 is a rarity, fitted with all the factory race parts of course,
now thats different. How about a personalised plate SLEEPA ?

I have a factory 1200 coupe body parts manual. I will dig it up and scan
and post it.

I found a 1972 sales brochure in a coupe I bought once. It has some funky 70's fashion shots! I'll try and scan it when I
get the opportunity.

That reminds me, i have an old origanal 1200 sedan service manual out in the shed. It even has all the origanal owners details and stuff. Just shows u how to turn the heater on etc..
Pretty cool stuff that it was left in the car for 30 years until i flogged it!! The car was sold off but i had to keep the manual as i dont have one. Probably not worth scanning and
adding to the photo page. Its a pretty basic manual.

stirlingmac, being the original owner of my 72 1200 coupe, I can still remember how it smelled when it was new. Ahhh, those were the days!

I have been collecting 1200 literature for years. I have the whole line sales brochures which cover all Datsun models and the 1200 specific brochures for all the years the 1200 was sold in
the US (1971-73). I have also accumulated various magazine advertisements.

In addition, I still have the free gifts that Datsun sent to me. These items were sent one a month for the first few months after purchase as a jesture of thanks. They were inexpensive
items like a Datsun logo keychain and a flashlight that plugged into the cigarette lighter. I also have the original sales invoice, and, of course I still have the car which has been
maintained in stock condition.

I would be happy to post pictures of all this stuff (and the car) but at the moment I do not have a scanner. When I get one, I'll post some pictures.

That would be awesome, I have an original owners manual in a Datsun pouch with a extra brochure on running in and things like that. I have some Datsun promo items like
jigsaws, stickers and flags. I look forward to seeing your collection.

stirlingmac, Your Datsun pouch is light blue, right?

By the way, I have some interesting paperwork regarding a class action suit that was brought against Datsun for illegally inflating list prices in the Northeast US during the time when I
bought my 1200 (June 1972). I qualified to be a member of the class and subsequently received a check for something like $35, roughly 1 1/2% of the total purchase price. The strange
thing about this was that the law suit was filed in the late seventies, quite a few years after the fact. So much for the statute of limitations.
