I was just watching some old footage of Bathurst 87 last weekend with a few mates, which featured some unbelievable driving by Brocky over the mountain in the wet in a Group A VL. I'd forgotton how good he was at his peak.

The automotive world has lost a fine engineer, a great driver, & a wonderfull ambasador for the motorsport world.
Two widows in a few days is just not fair.

I was shocked when my girlfriends mum told me that Brocky had died....I can't believe it. In the same week we lost Steve Irwin.
Brocky mate, You made the mountain your own, And in my eyes you will forever be the king.
My condolences to the Brock family.
RIP Brocky, You will be sadly missed

Yep. Even the best have their bad days.
I reckon Skaife across the top of the mountain in his R31 Skyline in '87 '88 (pre GTR days) was about the best thing ever. It was raining and he continued on his slicks fishtailing with finesse.
But for Brocky. I am indeed sad. No longer a living legend.. just a legend.

I heard it today on the radio whilst delivery driving, i had to pull over and take it all in! Didn't he use to race 1600's at bathurst or am I thinking of someone else...? It's just not fair  Surely a HUGE tribute must be done for the man... RIP Brocky Cheers Dave

RIP legend... as i race go karts around australia and brocky was a great go karts and wicked car racer...

PS: for all these other people that are just looking at the thread and not replying..
put sum heart into and write a little msg or put a RIP for brocky... i bet he would if u were famous....

Peter perfect, one of the true gentlemen of the sport, I doubt there will ever be a more beloved racing driver in Australia.
A great loss for motorsport in this country.
