Strut brace question

Hi guys and girls,
Just wondering who has purchased and fitted one of those Cusco strut braces that have been on e-bay for a while. I'm gonna be changing my front suspension for something a fair bit stiffer soon and suspect that a strut brace will probably help maintain my suspension alignment when racing.

I've read somewhere on here that someone had trouble fitting a Cusco brace because of interference with a stock GX airbox. I'm thinking if this is the case I might need to make something myself because the air filter setup on my car looks to be a bit higher than a GX airbox.

Does anyone have a photo of one of these Cusco items fitted they could post up......? Thanks.

Easy solution.
Download the strut tower plate designs from TnPshow's website.(I think it is his website). Let them be lasercutted.
Then weld the gussets on and custom make your pipe that will connect the two.
I am halfway with this.
Strutplates welded, painted and bolted on.
Just struggling to get time to get to a shop to bend my stainless steel pipe for me as I am also going to run into trouble with the GX airbox.

the Maddat one isn't legal for improved production.

Yeah the rules for improved production state that a strut brace can be of free design "providing it links only the towers" so that one which also braces back to the firewall is ruled out.
I'm still interested in seeing some pics/hearing peoples opinions on the Cusco braces. Surely someone on here has bought and fitted one, they've been on e-bay for a while now. I guess I'm being lazy and just want something that will bolt straight on.
Thanks guys.

Just lay it over the bolts and see if it clears, or is the motor out the car?

No the motor's in the car, I just need to get an idea of whether there are going to be major clearance issues before I purchase. If it only just touches i'll be able to modify the air filter easily enough, but the carbies tilt upwards a fair bit and I can't really modify them if they become an issue.

Maybe I'll just get one and cross my fingers. I should be able to find someone to buy it if it won't work, or I can keep it until I go to fuel injection. Still, if anyone has bought one I'd like to hear opinions on them.
